A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TRACTOR TRAILER DRIVER 

Responsible for transporting Company owned assets or other cargo, between assigned destinations using heavy or tractor-trailer trucks. Must ensure vehicle and equipment is used following DOT regulations and Company policy. Driver can also be responsible to load and unload assets or cargo with the use of equipment that he has been trained on such as fork trucks and other motorized equipment. 

All route drivers will be required to operate any equipment they have been trained on when they are assigned by management to do so. Route drivers are also required to service any stops they are assigned which may involve intrastate or interstate travel.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR A TRACTOR TRAILER DRIVER 

• Valid Class A CDL license with an interstate designation and tanker endorsement  
• Must be at least 21 years of age 
• Good driving record 

In addition, you need the following: 

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 
• Ability to climb and work at heights of 20+ feet with proper PPE 
• Excellent customer service skills
